Audition Music

  • Middle School Audition Music available on April 23rd.
  • Middle School Band Placement Auditions begin on May 16th.

Aledo Middle School will have four Concert Bands for the 2006-2007 school year. Each band is formed with students who are on a similar ability level. Students will audition for a panel of directors beginning on May 16th. Band placement will be made as a result of this audition. The concert bands will be as follows:

Concert Band 4 -
This band will help those kids who still need to develop basic skills on their instruments. This class is designed to help students promote into the 3rd Concert Band.

Concert Band 3 -
This band is on a typical MS Concert Band level. These kids will perform as an ensemble throughout the year. Solid instrumental skills and good practice habits will be required for this band.

Concert Band 2 -
This band is a little more challenging. These kids will have much higher performance expectations and will work on more advanced MS music. Strong musical skills will be required to perform in this ensemble.

Concert Band 1 -
This band is our most advanced band. This group will perform advanced literature. This band will also be responsible for performing at Pep-Rallies as well as other community performances. This band will be reserved for the strongest players.

It is very important that your young musician work on his/her music. There will not be a lot of class time dedicated to this. We want your children to be comfortable in the band that they are in next year. They need to work on this music to be best of their ability.
